Oh the chick with the rabbit tat. Ok No I dont think they are part of the resistance. Wasn't the Nez crew watching Neo, so they knew these guys were going to go to that club as they walked up? If they were there to help unplug him would they not have done it themselves?

I remember reading a fan fiction someone did of what they thought Reloaded would be and in it they made Choi and DuJour redpills. It was a neat idea, but it does not appear to be true in the actual story. They were just crazy bluepills

But I have always wondered exactly how the crew knew Neo would get the "follow the white rabbit" hint from the tattoo. It does seem too coincidental. It's one thing that they knew these people would approach Neo, but how did they know she would turn in just the right way that Neo would see the tattoo on her shoulder and understand that he was supposed to follow her? What if she hadn't moved her shoulder and he didn't see the tattoo?

well as far as it goes the population knew of these crazy eople that defy laws kill police officers and dissappear very suddenly. Perhaps these two coppertops happened to have heard a few conversations put on by a couple of redpills and began using it as a lingo, like a new slang. Also it may have been possible that the nez crew had them do the things they wanted such as asking him to go to the club and revealing the tat. red pills mayhave worked along with non-potential bluepills to get things done such as information gathering, trading, and operative gatherings. because they may have been able to keep agents from spawning some how, or else every potential they go to release could become an agent in an instant. so i still say they were blues

Those characters' names are indeed very important to figure out their purpose in the movie.

They are called Choi and Dujour.

Choi is the guy Neo is supposed to meet. Dujour is the girl with the white rabbit Neo is asked to follow. So they are like a transition for Neo.

If you pronounce their names together, that sounds Choi Dujour. In French you would read or even hear "Choix du jour" which means "The day's choice". (A term frequently used on a menu in french gastronomy)

So when Neo agrees to follow them (and meets Trinity by doing so), it is his first step in his path of choices leading to Morpheus, and to the truth of the Matrix, and to his own purpose, etc...
