The site costs about a 60 cents to a $1 a day to run not counting the database which I pay for out of my own account. Normally I'd have given a warning that we were about to go broke but I thought the warning email I got was for my own account not TLFC's so the site going down was essentially my bad. Sorry

Thanks to the generosity of skaje, faypuppy, steege, and fox the site's account balance now stands at $112.88

One thing I want to do is offer @thelastfreecity.com email addresses to anyone who has ever donated so just PM or email me the address you want and the email you want it forwarded to and I'll get that set up for you.

I'm also setting up a bunch of warnings so I'll update this thread more frequently with our account balance.

I'm going to throw $25 in the account too so we should be good for a while. If anybody has any ideas opinions or whatever then chime in

If we're looking at a dollar a day to keep TLFC chuggin, instead of just winging it, would we be interested in planning a system of donations? i.e., the site costs roughly $365 a year, so if we get like 7 people to promise $50 a year, we're in the ballpark.

I'd be willing to promise $50 every January.

Y'know, the longer this forum stays around, it gives our name The Last Free City so much more meaning. And I really do hope that we hold on for 2012, then I can proudly say that I've been here for 10 years. It would be immense saying that in 2 years time. Roll on 2012!

Hell yeah, I would love that. It's been just talk and a pipe dream for years now, that fact that we would all meet up. But it never really happens, it never gets that far, we either can't make it to a location; don't have enough money or some other silly reason.

I think Mauly is right, we should actually concentrate our efforts to meet up in 2012 (when we're old and gray). I don't care which country It's in, I will travel. Although if It's in America (most likely), can I select a state? Considering that I don't live there, you'll mofo's better travel. I can just imagine standing in the middle of fucking nowhere, in a desert, near Area 51 and none of you bastards show up Then I'll get shot whilst scratching my balls and lighting a cig.

Honestly guys, If you all agree to meet up in New Jersey, I will be there and hopefully so will others. Then we can watch the great big fireball kill us all at once

Shit pick any decent sized city where theres shit to do and I will be there in 2012. Hell if you guys want to aim for sometime during the summer of 2011 I could even try to plan around that.

Every year its, "We need to meet up!" followed by everyone agreeing. Then slowly, as the date approaches, everyone flakes out. Its happened like 5 or 6 times now.

But... If I can drive, fly, sleep there for a low price... i'll go. Just need a month notice to take the time off work.

I'd think Vegas would be fun. Magic Shows with nudity, free booze and cheap food.
